Therapy Group for Men with Chronic Depression (Aug 2024)
This therapy group is exclusively for men who are experiencing the symptoms of chronic depression. The dual purposes are to mitigate the symptoms of depression and to develop coping skills for vibrant living despite symptoms.
The group is limited to 8 men and meets twice monthly on Wednesday evenings. Members can be admitted to the group after an interview with the group leader, Randy Cook. This is a new group therapy, and new members are being recruited.

Do you ever have cases that stretch your clinical understanding to its limits? Do clients present a confusing puzzle that just does not seem to fit together? Well then, you are in good company and may find beneficial connection within an NPI consultation group!
Patrick Michaels PhD, clinical psychologist and NPI membership committee member, seeks NPI members who want to join a consultation group. This consultation group will provide a compassionate non-judgmental space for continuous learning, professional skill development, and opportunities to discuss current practices and challenges. We aim to reduce professional isolation and increase access to diverse perspectives and expertise.
Who: Licensed psychotherapists, counselors, social workers, and psychologists
Criteria: NPI members
Group size: 6-10 members for effective interaction
Time Commitment: Monthly, 1-hour
Location: Virtual or In-person

Parent Loss Group (July 2024)
Whether the loss of your parent is recent or many years in the past, you are welcome in this space. Grief is a lifelong process, and finding a space where your grief is accepted, embraced, and truly understood can feel impossible. This group welcomes adults aged 22-35 who have experienced the loss of a parental figure at any point in life and offers an opportunity to find community in grief and process alongside others who can relate to the complexities of such a loss.
Begins September 12th, meeting every other Thursday from 6:00-7:30pm (excluding major holidays). Specific dates include Sept 12, Sept 26, Oct 10, Oct 24, Nov 14, Dec 12, Jan 9, Jan 23. This group requires an 8-session commitment, at $50 per session

Virtual Neurodivergent Professional Women's Group (July 2024)
This group is a place where high-masking neurodivergent women can find support and community. With a focus on ASD and ADHD, the group will discuss navigating these diagnoses in work and in life. If you have a client who feels isolated in their diagnoses, misunderstood in the workplace, or struggling with self-compassion around their symptoms, they would be a perfect fit.

Men’s Psychotherapy Process Group (new July 2024)
This Men’s Psychotherapy Process Group will provide the space and opportunity to authentically connect men with each other and replace our sometimes felt sense of isolation with support, trust and a sense of true camaraderie. Group members will have the opportunity to strengthen interpersonal and leadership skills, while building confidence in a structured and supportive community of dedicated and loving male comrades.
The group is led by Dr. Jesse Rentz, licensed in both California and Tennessee, and is held Wednesdays from 7:00 to 8:30 pm CST via secure video link to be provided.
The benefits of the Virtual Men’s Group include:
- Cultivation of honest, secure relating to enhance one’s ability to give and receive love
- Enhancement of empathy for one’s fellow man
- Deepen ability to share the experience of wounds, pain and struggles as a means for connection, not separation
- Exploration of the profound effects of shame and how honest, vulnerable engagement weakens shame’s effects while unlocking the innate courage lurking right beneath it
- Sharing of difficulties in personal and professional relationships to practice more effective ways of managing or resolving them

Adult Children of Narcissistic Families: Women's Psychotherapy Process Group
A narcissistic parent consistently prioritizes their own needs, desires, and ego over those of their children. They often seek admiration and attention, manipulate their children emotionally, and lack empathy or concern for their child’s well-being. As a result, Adult Children of Narcissistic Familes struggle with a lack of self-confidence, a chronic need to please, difficulty setting healthy personal boundaries, and problems with relationships. This Women’s Psychotherapy Process Group provides the space and opportunity for women to authentically connect with each other and explore their experiences, provide insights, and create healthier relationships.
