“Mindfulness in Addiction & Recovery,”

Program Description:
Rachael Tanner-Smith and Andrew Chapman, co-directors of Wild Heart Meditation Center, will discuss two case studies illustrating the intersection of mindfulness, recovery, internal family systems and the dark night of the soul.
Presenter Bios:
Rachael Tanner-Smith is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Nurse Practitioner, and the co-director of Wild Heart Meditation Center, a non-profit Buddhist community center. She has a private practice offering counselor licensure supervision and biofeedback and will also soon begin offering psychiatric medication management. Rachael also likes to create jewelry and garden, and spends most of her free time climbing trees with her son.
Andrew Chapman is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the co-director and guiding teacher at Wild Heart Meditation Center, a non-profit Buddhist community center located in Nashville, TN. He has a psychotherapy practice and also offers mentorship, group facilitation, education, and training for individuals, groups and organizations interested in mindfulness meditation. Andrew has been authorized to facilitate mindfulness and empowered as a Buddhist Teacher through Spirit Rock Meditation Center. Andrew also likes to write, produce music, and spends most of his free time keeping his newly mobile daughter from disaster.
