Title:  “Therapy Disembodied: Pushing Against the Barrier of ‘Social’ Distancing Doing Therapy Virtually”

Presenter:  Jamie Kyne, PhD

Description:  Providing psychotherapy to our patients virtually (“not physically existing as such but made by software to appear to do so”), whether telephonically or via video-sessions, is something we have all now found ourselves engaged in. What’s this like? Mostly, probably, challenging and not so good. Join us for some reflections on and a discussion of how this goes for us; frustrations, losses, limitations, liabilities, and — yes — opportunities abound. Jamie Kyne will take some time to offer starting points for us to show up for each other, virtually!, in NPI solidarity.
