Program Description:
Come and build your knowledge base! You could learn how to survive in a matrix organization, the three components of adaptability and why it is such a sought-after skill, what differentiates between high potentials and high performers, and other ways you can contribute to your client’s professional development.

Program description:
Obsessive-compulsive disorder is characterized by a pattern of persistent, unwanted thoughts, images, or impulses (obsessions) and repetitive behaviors or mental acts (compulsions). Because compulsions temporarily alleviate the distress of obsessions but ultimately increase distress, individuals with OCD often feel trapped in a cycle of negatively reinforced behavior. We will discuss how to help clients break this cycle with current evidence-based practices. Attention will be paid to how best of engage clients of varying ages, levels of insight, and co-occurring concerns. Dr. Mariaskin will review techniques culled from exposure therapy, mindfulness, and meta-cognitive restructuring.
