Jordan Hale Consulting and Psychotherapy
Marriage & Family Therapist Trainee, MMFT

Throughout both my professional and personal mental health journeys, I have come to believe that the loneliness, worry, and despair we encounter in life does not occur in a vacuum. These struggles are deeply entwined with the way we relate to our families, friends, and ourselves. I believe that all true healing occurs via relationship. This is why I believe in the power of Psychotherapy: it becomes a relational vessel of healing, a workshop in which (through genuine connection and honest feedback), we can begin to make sense of the way we have come to view ourselves, our relationships, and the world. Therapy can help us gain the tools needed in order to change that which we can control, but also genuinely accept that which we cannot.

I have been working with kids of all ages in various capacities for the majority of my life. I believe in working closely with the family whenever treating a child, and working with the inner child/inner family whenever treating an adult. I believe strongly in Evidence-Based Practices, especially when there is a very specific, tangible goal to be accomplished though therapy. I am also an enthusiastic proponent of Interpersonal Neurobiology (in which we use new research about the brain to better understand how to integrate the different parts of our minds/selves, in order to cultivate a deep inner peace and greater relational satisfaction).

My passion lies not only in working with kids and families therapeutically, but also in working closely within the school system. In my School Consulting and Public Speaking work, I help to bring basic Mental Health and Social/Emotional Learning knowledge to the widest possible audience (i.e. school faculty/administrators and parents/families) in order to better serve our children towards a more holistic education.
