Personal Statement
I am a clinical psychologist, who has taught psychotherapy at the University of Michigan, University of Virginia, Vanderbilt University, and the Georgia School of Professional Psychology. I practice adult psychotherapy and couples therapy, and specialize in Time-Limited Dynamic Psychotherapy (TLDP) a form of treatment I helped develop. I am a diplomate in Clinical Psychology, ABPP, a Fellow of the American Psychological Association, a Fellow of the Georgia Psychological Association, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Clinical Psychology.

Individual adult psychotherapy, time-limited dynamic psychotherapy (TLDP). Psychotherapy supervision and consultation, Psychotherapy research. I have experience treating a wide spectrum of problems, including relationship issues, depression and anxiety, personality disorders, grief and loss, life transitions, career issues, and childhood and adult traumas.

I conduct individual and couples therapy from a dynamic/interpersonal perspective. I also specialize in time-limited dynamic psychotherapy (TLDP). I have practiced in and directed outpatient community mental health programs and inpatient adult and adolescent programs. I have taught psychotherapy at three universities and directed a school of professional psychology. Currently, I am Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Vanderbilt University.
