LMFT

I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT). My therapy model combines traditional methods and also draws from externships, trainings and personal life experiences. I combine these several avenues to create a place of open possibilities for my client.

I am Level II trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Certified in Brainspotting, and trained in EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy). I received my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Trevecca University in Nashville, Tennessee. I earned my BS in Food & Nutrition from Michigan State University. Although I have worked with a wide spectrum of clients, I have a special interest in helping those with eating disorders and working with people struggling through marriage or in abusive or traumatic relationships. Presently, I am training in Somatic Experiencing which is another trauma modality.

I have worked as an eating disorder liaison at an inpatient facility specializing in Eating Disorders and Alcohol & Drug Addiction. I was a primary counselor for an intensive outpatient facility specializing in Alcohol & Drug Addiction and a primary counselor for an inpatient facility specializing in Binge Eating.
