I work with adults who are dealing with the impact of life-altering events such as past abuse, death/loss, sexual assault, infidelity, illness, injuries, accidents, disasters, etc. For the past 12 years, my career as a Psychologist at a Veterans Affairs (VA) hospital has been motivated by walking with women and men on their journeys to resilience after suffering through combat, military sexual trauma, childhood abuse, etc.

Research estimates over 70% of the general population has encountered at least one traumatic experience. How we recover, what we decide to do with our pain, significantly impacts the legacy we leave.

In addition to EMDR, I’m certified in several research-based approaches (see www.marybethcovert.com). The mind-body connection is important; exploring ways your story has impacted not only your beliefs about yourself, others, and the world, but also your body, relationships, and spirituality (if applicable) is often vital.

Stepping into this process isn’t easy. Freedom and wholehearted living beyond suffering is possible. Let’s talk about your situation and see how I might be able to help.
